Church

What an awesome weekend we had together as the congregation of Ephrata Community Church!  I am not sure that there is anything greater than the privilege of baptizing 22 people and celebrating the new life that Jesus Christ is giving them!  If you missed our time together, I’d encourage you to check out the livestream recording http://new.livestream.com/ephratacommunitychurch/eccservice .

What a great honor we have to be part of the Church of Jesus Christ.  As we talked about yesterday, the Church transcends language and culture, and even time as we have the opportunity to be a part of Jesus’ ever increasing government.  This past weekend was also the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.  As part of His Church, we want to be faithful to remember, and stand with our brothers and sisters around the world who are facing persecution for the cause of Christ.  I’d encourage you to check out these video and web links as a way of becoming more informed about the persecution of the Church in the world today.

Take a look, and use the space on this blog to share any specific steps you will take to remember, pray for, and care for the persecuted church around the world.
