Growth Groups

It is our vision at Ephrata Community Church that everyone would be saved, rooted, and grounded in Jesus Christ. We also understand that none of us drift toward spiritual growth. It doesn’t just happen automatically for any of us. Therefore, our Growth Groups are intentionally designed as a tool for you to grow as a follower of Jesus Christ.

The Growth Groups run throughout the year in three semesters – spring, summer, and fall – covering a variety of topics. We invite you to take a step and commit to a Growth Group that will further equip you to live a victorious and fruitful Christian life.

Love and Respect – DVD series

Men and women both need to feel loved and respected; however, research reveals that during marital conflict, a husband most often reacts when feeling disrespected, and a wife reacts when feeling unloved. Following the Love and Respect material created by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, this interactive group will help you to understand the differences between men and women, provide opportunity to discover the way God has wired you and your spouse to desire love and respect, and empower you to experience a fulfilling marriage.

(L.I.F.E.) Living in Freedom Every Day

Many of us long for the kind of healing that mends the emotional wounds of the past. Then on top of this we face difficult life issues, false beliefs, lies from our enemy, and sin which has resulted in strongholds that are putting a lid on our walk with Jesus Christ. However, we firmly believe that Jesus came to set His people free – that’s all of us!

This 6-week focus, using the book entitled “The Bondage Breaker,” provides a step-by-step process for resolving personal and spiritual conflicts, breaking free from areas of bondage, renewing the mind, and experiencing freedom for everyday life.

Healthy – Inside Out

Even as sons and daughters of God, we can still struggle with crippling fear and debilitating depression which cause us to question our relationship with God, our own self-worth and purpose, and hurt our relationship with others. Beyond anxiety and depression, we can struggle with basic mental, emotional, and relational issues and need guidance and help in living in freedom and peace.

Mental, emotional, and relational health is possible to experience and maintain in life, and in this 6-week growth group, you will be empowered with educational and practical tools that will bring breakthrough, hope, and peace in your life.

Conquer – A Battle Plan for Purity

Living as “conquerors through Christ who loved us” is a challenge for men, especially since every man faces sexual temptations. We know that fighting to become free from sexual bondage is a marathon and possibly one of the greatest challenges we as men face in life. However, there is hope for any man’s mind battle. Living in purity is more rewarding and life-giving than anything you can imagine.

This series explores the strongholds that keep men in bondage and will highlight why trying harder has not, and will not, work. Featuring experts who specialize in addictions and the brain, the Conquer Series will take a look at many of the ways in which the brain has been affected and changed through sexual addiction.
