GROWTH GROUPS

It is our vision at Ephrata Community Church that everyone would be saved, rooted, and grounded in Jesus Christ. We also understand that none of us drift toward spiritual growth. It doesn’t just happen automatically for any of us. Therefore, our Growth Groups are intentionally designed as a tool for you to grow as a follower of Jesus Christ.

The Growth Groups run throughout the year in three semesters—winter, spring and fall—covering a variety of topics. We invite you to take a step and commit to a Growth Group that will further equip you to live a victorious and fruitful Christian life.

CONQUER SERIES

Living as “conquerors through Christ who loved us” is a challenge for men, especially since every man faces sexual temptations. We know that fighting to become free from sexual bondage is a marathon and possibly one of the greatest challenges we as men face in life. However, there is hope for any man’s mind battle. Living in purity is more rewarding and life-giving than you can imagine.

This series explores the strongholds that keep men in bondage and will highlight why trying harder has not, and will not, work. Featuring experts who specialize in addictions and the brain, the Conquer Series will take a look at many of the ways in which the brain has been affected and changed through sexual addiction.

Commitment: 6 weeks
Date: Monday evenings from September 12–October 17
Time: 7:00–9:00 p.m.

THE GIFT HEALING

In Matthew Chapter 10, Jesus gave his disciples authority to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. As followers of Jesus, the authority to heal the sick is available to us as well. Do you have a heart to pray for the sick and oppressed? This group will teach you fundamental tools to pray for the sick and see them recover. You will learn the biblical basis for healing, grow your confidence in praying for healing of physical conditions, learn how to receive a word of knowledge, and learn how to walk in your spiritual authority in Christ.

Commitment: 7 weeks
Date: Thursday evenings from September 15–October 27
Time: 7:00–8:30 p.m.

FREEDOM

It is for freedom that Christ set us free. That’s what Paul wrote in Galatians 5:1, and Jesus Himself said that He came to the earth so that we may have life and have it to the full (John 10:10). Just imagine that; Life abundant. Not barely surviving, but living in the freedom God designed for you to have. No matter what you are facing in life, freedom is possible and in Christ, and this Group will help you experience it.

Commitment: 6 weeks
Date: Thursday evenings from September 15–October 20
Time: 7:00–8:30 p.m.
Location: ECC Conference Room C
